Infamous 2 is an action-adventure game set in an open world environment and played from a third-person perspective. Infamous Second Son, a standalone sequel for PlayStation 4, was released on March 21, 2014. A standalone expansion titled Infamous: Festival of Blood was released on October 25, 2011.
Praise was particularly directed at its city design, traversal, and graphics, though it was criticized for its Karma system and camera. Jason Cottle, the original voice actor for Cole, was replaced by Eric Ladin as Sucker Punch wanted somebody who could perform Cole's physical reactions with motion capture, a new addition to the series.
